Why We Built This Site
Public access is only useful when a person can find the office that keeps the record. Bedford County has no single statewide trial-court docket search. Its TnCIS-backed county portal groups Circuit Court, General Sessions, and Clerk and Master searches, then separates Criminal and Civil case types. Circuit Court Clerk Michelle Murray keeps Circuit and Criminal Court files, while Clerk and Master Curt Cobb handles Chancery records. Municipal and juvenile matters follow other routes.
Bedford County Court Docket brings those distinctions together with official contact details, case-number search tips, public-access limits, and request steps. It also separates the Bedford trial docket from Tennessee Public Case History, which covers appellate cases rather than county trial records.
What You Will Find Here
The record pages focus on practical, court-specific tasks:
- Docket guidance: how Bedford County criminal docket searches and civil docket searches differ
- Dates and settings: ways to check court dates and confirm a hearing with the maintaining clerk
- Case lookup: how to use party names, original filing years, court offices, and case numbers in the case lookup
- Record requests: where to seek court records, plain copies, and certified documents
What We Cannot Do
Bedford County Court Docket is privately operated and has no affiliation with a Tennessee court, clerk, county office, or state agency. It cannot:
- retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
- change, cancel, or reset a hearing or court date
- seal, expunge, remove, or amend a court record
- issue certified copies of an order, judgment, or docket
- give legal advice about a person’s case
- guarantee that a listed fee, contact, or setting remains current
An official or certified Bedford County court record must come from the clerk or court that maintains the original file. This resource can identify that office but cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Some record pages contain search tools supplied by outside providers. Each provider controls its own service, results, terms, and prices. If a tool leads to a paid service, Bedford County Court Docket may receive a referral payment that supports continued public access to the reference content. The site does not set a partner’s charges or control the records a partner returns.
